Linux developers think of everything, one of my websites that I play around with is out in the residential world with a lonely nat server to protect it from harms way. One day while looking for a new GUI to interface with I found linux firewall. It looked very promising for extra help in the fight against the jokers from Asia. The Linux firewall is very specific in its ability to pick and choose who gets in and who doesn’t. You can block by IP address or route by address also. this with the htacess files it has a opportunity to keep your system up and script kiddie free. This is a linux tool and its available for most flavors there are some really cool GUI’s for it too so it can save scripts and reload on boot. I will be posting results here shortly from my little test.
